WHEN VISITING STONEHENGE - WHY NOT POP INTO THE TOWN OF AMESBURY JUST OFF THE A303 FIND OUT MORE ABOUT AMESBURY 2012 AND OUR HISTORY VISIT "THE ANCESTOR" AT HOLIDAY INN AND THE 6FT ARTWORK OF STONEHENGE

The AVA - founded in 2006 - aimed at introducing Art into our immediate environment by means of local Exhibitions has evolved Into a compact project orientated group of Artists working on commissions, community projects and involved in working directly with the Amesbury Town Council on Art related projects.

2010 we were commissioned by Span Roofing (Weston-Super-Mare) to paint/design a Fibre Glass Donkey www.donkeyparade.co.uk in aid of Children in Need. After the successful completion of Puzzled Brian" we were commissioned to refurbish 3 1930's Fibre Glass Chairs - a challenging and exciting project whcih is now very nearly complete.

2011 the Mayor of Amesbury set up a Steering Group to pull together a programme of Sports and Arts to celebrate the 2012 Olympics in our Town. Druids and Artists, local people will be involve in an exciting programme - included will be Amesbury Visual Artists.

2012 Amesbury opened a Museum celebrating the Historical Amesbury. The Jubilee visit and the Flame will visit Amesbury, Stonehenge and Salisbury 11th & 12th July 2012.
